For those of us here in Kings Road that have a dog, cat or some other kind of pet that we care for, this page is going to be devoted to our loving animals. If you have a pet that you would like to tell our readers about (you can also send in pictures of lost and/or found animals too) please let me know by sending me the information and/or pictures to Kiersten.jarvis@gmail.com
Please remember when you are out walking your dogs to keep our beautiful grounds looking that way, scoop your poop! Also be courteous of your neighbors and keep barking dogs inside. Thanks for making Kings Road a great place to live!

After Ben is wet, I massage the diluted shampoo into his coat. He's easier to rinse that way" Barbara McGee Kingston Springs, Tenn. Reader Tip

A Loss Of A Pet Is MournedRuca a 10 year old Siberian Husky passed away on Thursday May 12 at her home on Foxford Street. We know pets get to be part of our family and they mean so much to us. We are sorry for the Ulloa Families loss and our prayers go out to them at this difficult time. Susan Ulloa wrote the following about Ruca. I am currently overseas on military orders but my son Brett came home from work that night to find her unresponsive under his bed. She had recently been diagnosed with liver cancer. I was home for Spring Break in April and got to see her one last time. She was still fairly active and still wanted her walk every night at 10 PM, but her coat was drab and she was all bones under it. Still I had hoped she would be around a bit longer, perhaps until I returned home for good Fall 2012. Ruca was so very loved by everyone in the family. Her loss is a tremendous blow for all us. She was so very good with the grandkids and when her toleration met its limit she would just quietly retreat to her "den" under my bed. She loved cats and we got many laughs watching her play with our 3 house cats as well as the two allowed to roam outdoors. She escaped a few times but as soon as she saw the car, she'd jump right in. Ruca leaves behind her real owner, my son Brett. She was his 16th birthday present. He is devastated. But we are all grieving for her: me, my sons Tony and Nick, and Tony's family - wife Kristy and kids Kayli, Antonio, Leala and Sophie. Even the cats, Shadow, Gabbie and Swirl have been looking for her. My Shih Tzu, Munchi, with me in Italy lost a great companion and my kitty, Marbles, never got to know her. We loved you so much, Ruca. I hope it's true that "all dogs go to heaven." You were the best! Thank you!Susan Ulloa
